Ingredients:
- 1 (3-4 pound) beef roast beef 7 bone (or other frying range)
- Kosher salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound baby red (cremated) potatoes, washed, skins
- 8 ounces mushrooms, cleaned,
- Half a pound of carrots, peeled,
- Sliced 1 onion, very thinly sliced
- 1 cup Coca-Cola or other cola © (not diet) at room temperature
- 1 cup tomato sauce (canned or homemade)
- Mix 1 package dry onion soup
- 1 tablespoon Hungarian sweet paprika
- 2 tablespoons dried oregano ground coffee,
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation:
Sprinkle generously seven bone roast with salt and pepper. Heat a heavy frying pan until very hot, olive oil, and fast in the 7 bone roast on both sides.
Show baked roast in a baking pan. Surrounded with potatoes, mushrooms and carrots in an even layer. Spread slices evenly over meat and onions.
Give mixing cola, ketchup, onion, paprika, oregano and garlic powder in a bowl and mix well. Pour ceiling evenly over meat and vegetables. Closely you with foil.
Bake for 2 hours. Remove from oven and let stand at least 15 minutes. Cut the meat. Serve with vegetables and sauce pan.
Note: Use the same method on a large oval casserole pot, cook for 6-8 hours. Or, skip the vegetables (except onion) and cook the roast bone in July alone as a main dish.
Yield: 6-8 servings
